This year, we celebrate 35 years of the Brazilian Political Charter and the institutionalization of the Unified Health System (SUS). The 1988 Constitution gave rise to the discipline of Health Law, an intersection between Legal Sciences and Health Sciences. To make the right to health a reality for all, a legal-normative framework is necessary.
This special issue of the Tempus Actas de Saúde Coletiva Journal highlights Health Law, a field of knowledge that encompasses public law in the formulation of health policies and private relations in Supplementary and Complementary Health. The goal is to ensure that health is a right for all, as established by the Brazilian Constitution.
We thank the Editorial Board of the Tempus Actas Journal for opening space for the publication of works related to Health Law. We reinforce the ties of the Health Law Program-Prodisa, from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, with the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Brasília-UnB. We believe that the sharing of ideas and studies contributes to the advancement of Science and the well-being of the population of Brazil.
