O MONITORING PREGNANT WOMEN IN PRIMARY CARE AND THE IMPACT ON HEALTH INDICATORS

Abstract

Introduction: There is constant progress in health care, especially in the APS networks, aiming to improve the recruitment of users and the effectiveness of the services provided. This story seeks to reveal the experience of professionals and academics in monitoring two indicators related to Pré-natal and their impact on the quality of health services. Method: This is a descriptive experience report, which took place in the municipality of Marabá, in the southeast of Pará, in a Family Health Unit, in the period from January to December 2023. Results: Based on two results In the first quarter of the year 2023, where it can be confirmed that only indicator 2 has reached more than the stipulated goal and the other two indicators will remain outside the goal, strategies are sought to improve performance, not intended to promote coverage. APS services are effective. The evolution of two indicators related to pregnant women is notable, in the first four months, indicator 1 has increased by 8% during the year, syphilis and HIV tests, indicator 2, has increased by 5% and finally, indicator 3 has increased of 12%. Final Considerations: Recognize that the efforts of the team and management are being efficient, for better performance in the health service through the monitoring of the group, as well as promoting effective APS coverage in better quality of care, with focus on the actions developed to meet the health needs of people.
