Abstract

The Education Tutorial - Indigenous Health Program is characterized as a program of education and health, aimed at the practice education for the indigenous context. At the University of Brasilia one of the development strategies of the practices and actions of the program setting under the Comprehensive Health Clinic Indigenous entered the University Hospital of Brasilia. This work seeks to provide a theoretical and reflective discussion of an experience report by group of experienced Tutorial Education - Indigenous Health Program at the University of Brasilia formed by monitors, mentors, tutors and managers, characterizing as a methodological reflexive-theoretical. In this health care process the contribution of different areas of knowledge and provide learning contributes to the restructuring of education based on comprehensiveness and social compromise between scientific knowledge and traditional indigenous. This experience and with the support to the review literature realized that the PET- indigenous health enables integration between teaching/service/care and management, making a difference in the services, in education and health care, promoting interaction and exchange of knowledge among indigenous users, indigenous students and non-Indigenous students. This interaction gives students a better understanding about the culture of indigenous groups and uses it to know these cultural differences and process health care.
