Abstract
Objective: to address how the pandemic of coronavirus infections affects the mental health of nurses and nursing staff in Latin America. Methodology: This is a systematic literature review, with studies published from 2019 to 2021 in the BDENF, LILACS, MEDLINE and IBECS databases. The Virtual Health Library website was used for the findings of the publications. The explored texts will be compiled from a systematized content analysis. Results: in the present work, 18 (eighteen) studies had a target population focused on nursing professionals and 02 (two) studies also considered health professionals in general. In addition, the evaluated studies also considered as target the mental health of those involved, in a context of pandemic of COVID-19. Final considerations: there is agreement in the studies that the pandemic of coronavirus infections generated impacts on the mental health of nurses in Latin America.
