Abstract

Occupational Cancer is a neoplasm whose appearance is correlated to work conditions. In Brazil, cancer notifications are compulsory to "sentinel" health service. Paraná the notification is mandatory. Curitiba show the highest notification numbers, and is the responsible for one third of all national cases. This paper aims to show and discuss the epidemiological profile of Occupational Cancer notifications made between 2012 and 2020 in this city. This is an exploratory, retrospective, and quantitative research. The data were collected through secondary sources, from 891 notifications of Occupational Cancer in the database of the Workers' Health Reference Center. The notifications pointed out that mostly men, over 70 years old, white, and with low education are affected. The most common employment status was that of self-employed, working on livestock activity, over 30 years of exposure to pesticides and non-ionizing radiation. The commum types of cancer were: prostate, skin and kidney. The most frequent evolution of the disease was out of the treatment window and in progress. Regimen was inpatient treatment. Kwnowleged of the profile of Occupational Cancer is a necessary step for professional healthcare practice, services organization and support policies that can replace processes associated with cancer.
